    • Menu Planning

      Careful menu planning involves consideration of colour, taste, texture, resident preferences, nutrition and production. NMS has partnered with Brescia University College, in association with Western University to study nutrition and health in Long Term Care residents. Research results help guide NMS’ menu planning process, targeting key nutrients which may be otherwise lacking.

      NMS can deliver over 200 Dietary inservices to compliment your Ministry mandated education program. We are continually developing new material for best practices and standards in Long Term Care to enhance resident satisfaction, resident care and facility efficiency. Topics such as pleasurable dining, production efficiencies, menu planning, diet requirements, nourishment and supplement protocols and quality assurance are covered. Qualified instructors coach your dietary staff and tailor each inservice to meet the needs of your facility.

      NutriBase© manages Resident Diet Orders to ensure accuracy during meal service. A significant time savings is realized for the Registered Dietitian and Food Service Manager, as all diets are updated electronically in real-time. NutriBase© was developed locally in London, Ontario.

      Menu Modules© is a time saving and well accepted tool in the food service industry. Clients appreciate the data entry service provided by NMS.     • Going Digital in the Dining Room

      Menus are communicated to residents and family digitally in the dining rooms. Menu changes are instantly updated and records of menu changes are automatically filed electronically.     • Long Term Care

      NMS employs Registered Dietitians to complete nutrition assessments for residents in Long Term Care. Assessments include weight reviews, food intake evaluation and determining the best diet order for each resident. The Dietitian works closely with the Food Service Manager to ensure foodservice production corresponds to resident diet orders. Dietitians are also an integral member of the staff inservice education program delivered by NMS.

    • Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN)

      NMS provides Registered Dietitian Services to clients requiring nutrition care in their homes through the LHIN. NMS provides administrative and educational support for our Dietitians, allowing them to focus their time on quality one-on-one nutrition counseling.
